If someone says they can give you a 100% Correct Psychic Reading run away, rather quickly.
Oh this is cool … 3D Fool
I figured I would leave this here, being that it is April Fool’s Day. I created this polymer clay sculpture on the inside of a 9” x 12” basswood canvas as a meditation of the Thoth tarot deck April 2013 and this is the first time I’m showing it! I’m currently in the process of painting the Magus card and hope to complete the 22 trumps eventually. “Pure folly is the Key to Initiation.”
There is no wrong, or right, there just is, and to understand what is, one must do.
Q:Hi Caitlyn, I'm Spiffo (Peter) but I'm also Accidental Warlock here on Tumblr too. I came across your post about getting some practice in with Tarot reading. I've been reading for a 'few' years now and would be happy to be a guinea pig for you. So ... my question would be a fairly straightforward "Please, what do you see coming in the next 6 months for me?" I quite understand though if you decide not to read for me - after all I'm a total stranger on the arse end of the planet. Good journey. X
Deck: Revelations by Zach Wong.
Question: What do you see coming in the next 6 months for me?
Spread: Checking the Direction
Star - Upright | Magician - Upright | 2 of Wands - Upright | 6 of wands - Reversed | Emperor - Reversed | 7 of Wands - Reversed | 5 of Cups - Reversed
First Impressions: I reshuffled this question a few times because I assumed the heavy presence of reversed cards meant that I phrased your question wrong, or I wasn’t focused enough. However after they continued to show up (esp. the 7 of wands in that spot) I rolled with it. The major arcana and wands are dominating the reading which tells me the next 6 months for you is going to be an intense period of personal creativity and growth.
My analysis is below the Read More, I would definitely appreciate second opinions of readers more experienced than I am. You can also help me improve by being a guinea pig — leave a question for the tarot in my ask and you’ll get a free reading like this one. Check here for details.
So … I don’t normally seek readings from others, but something about JumbleMystic’s (aka Cait) original post and her Tumblr as a whole intrigued me; so acting on instinct I asked for a reading. Well … what a surprise Cait’s reading is. For a ‘new’ reader I think she has a remarkably keen insight and seems able to focus in to the appropriate meanings right away. I also like her confidence; too many readers throw every possible meaning at you and hope that one sticks. Cait on the other hand has ‘gone out on a limb’ and emphasised only some meanings. Another great thing she has done is look to see how the cards are working together and not just read them individually. She sees the links across the reading and is very capable of seeing the larger pattern.
This reading has clearly identified the current state of affairs - I am indeed just embarking on a major creative project which is both intensely satisfying and terribly frightening. Sometimes I feel like I am wearing a pair of stilettos and trying to not fall over as I dash across cobblestones (and I’m a bloke) … so I can see I need to keep the idea of balance front and centre. It’s also interesting that Cait has seen some issues with people around me … indeed as my project is developing more people are getting involved and their motives are beginning to concern me. Now I know to be even more diligent in how I react and who I listen to in terms of my work. Oh and I’ve got to NOT hesitate when the (now expected) road-blocks appear. I can tend toward procrastination and even avoidance of difficult situations. Cait’s advice is very much for me to hold my ground and trust my own intuition. Anyone who works in creative fields will know how hard that can be sometimes, especially when those that control budgets insist they know better.
That outcome card is a bit of a worry, but I get the impression that I will ultimately gain more than I will lose; plus the idea of a period of respite after the next few months of hard work will be welcome.
I’d like to thank Cait for a wonderful reading and for taking a chance on reading for a total stranger on the other side of the world. You have given me much to think about. Guess what, this was the first reading Cait has done for another person … it augurs well for her reading future. I imagine Cait is going to develop into a very powerful reader.
Cait, sincerely, thank you. Keep reading for people. You have a keen insight and a rare ability. Treasure it. Challenge yourself with your cards and be confident. You are so young and I can’t begin to imagine how wonderful your journey will be. I know it will take you to places you never dreamed of and to people you never thought you’d interact with. This bloke down-under is honoured to have (however briefly) connected with you.
Good luck, and again, thank you.
(ps - Spiffo is me Accidental Warlock - just in case anyone was confused.)
(pps - the best way to learn about Tarot Cards is to use them and that means reading for people … so just do it yeah?)
Following you all …
Accidental Warlock is also Spiffo here on Tumblr but because of the way I set up my Tumblrs it’s Spiffo who follows you rather than Accidental Warlock … just so you know I’m not a rude prick, I’m just somewhat challenged when it comes to using Tumblr.
Please know that I appreciate all the Tarot Tumblrites and the wisdom you impart.
As you can see from the post below, Tarot is quite capable of giving short and succinct answers.
I just asked my tarot cards if anything romantic would ever happen between two people and they basically told me “in your dreams, loser.”
Music to play for people that want me to read about their bloody boyfriends … my goodness, do you not have anything more important to worry about? He wants sex, once you stop obliging he loses interest … unless it’s love but that is very rare and if it was love you wouldn’t need to ask the cards about it because you’d be too busy getting on with it.
The Magic of Tarot by Oliver Scheffner was released in 2011 but could’ve been made in 1982. The music is like a cross between Wendy/Walter Carlos and Vangelis, with a bit of Yanni thrown in for good measure. One might call it ‘new-age’, perhaps ‘no-age’ fits better. Track #2 has some nice seagull calls over it!
